Too Much

So yeah, this post title is kinda mysterious if you have no idea what I'm about to say, which you don't. You wonder, "Is he going to post about food?" or "Maybe this will be about alcohol." Well, you aren't entirely wrong, I suppose, but there is something else I'm going to specifically talk about.

First, too much. What exactly is "too much"? Well, it really depends on the person. For example, for a person who chooses to eat healthier than the people around him, 5 slices of pizza is probably too much. But for a person who doesn't mind eating a lot of pizza and isn't trying to watch their figure, 10 slices of pizza would be too much.

Also, there are times when you start an argument with someone and sometimes it can get, well, "too much". It isn't really too much unless you both start yelling, or quietly insulting each other. That is too much in an argument, whether it's online or in person.

Now, to the topic I really want to discuss: too much teasing. Now, you may wonder, "What is too much teasing?" Well, some people believe that too much teasing is when the person on the receiving end escapes all of it by ending their own life. I believe that too much teasing would way precede this. Too much teasing happens when the person either cries or asks you to stop the teasing. But the problem with everyone nowadays is that everyone has their breaking point, and no one tries to find out what that breaking point is before they begin the teasing. (Also noteworthy, if the person you are teasing isn't your friend in any way, the teasing is considered bullying.)

It is my opinion that everyone in the world needs to realize that there is no way to understand a person unless you put yourself in their shoes, like what Atticus Finch tells Scout in the book To Kill a Mockingbird. So before you want to make fun of somebody for something that they've done, because of the way they look, (or even in any situation in life) try to put yourself in their position, and do your best to see the world from their point of view.

The inspiration for this post came from this video, and also a personal experience I had with a friend who was on the receiving end of too much teasing. Please, if you can, watch this.
