The "Ride"

Sometimes we as humans feel that it is a necessary part in life to be a part of events that affect us and not be able to do anything about it. Some say that since they can't really do anything about it, they're just going to "go along for the ride".

I feel that this isn't the case, not in anyone's life. It is my understanding that we can do something about our current situations and actually direct our own paths to something that we want. You see, many people think that you only live once, and that you should live life to the fullest; you should do whatever you want to do, and never care about the consequences.

But I have learned that we are all sons and daughters of God, our Heavenly Father. We used to be spirits, but we came to Earth to gain a body and be like Him. But when we came to Earth, we passed through a veil, and we forgot all about the Pre-mortal Existence.

So, you may be wondering what this has to do with what I just said earlier. Well, there are many who believe that when we feel the Holy Ghost in our life, we have a spiritual experience as human beings. But, because we learn about the Pre-mortal Existence, we learn something new:

We are not Human Beings having multiple spiritual experiences, we are Spiritual Beings experiencing a singular human experience. So please, when you go through the tough times, and you feel like you're not important, always remember that you can choose how you're life can turn out, and that there is an amazing Heavenly Father who loves you for you. You are a spiritual being, you are a son/daughter of God, and no one can ever, ever take that away from you. So don't just go along for the ride, you take the steering wheel and you make the road of your own ride.
